²⁸ and being in no way intimidated by those who oppose you.

This will be a clear sign to them of their forthcoming destruction as well as of your salvation. All of this is in accord with God’s design. ²⁹ For it has been granted you not only to believe in Christ but also to suffer for him. ³⁰ You are taking part in the same struggle that you have seen in me and that you now hear I am experiencing.^[a]
